Milky Way Over Wyoming

The night sky comes alive in Wyoming.  Milky Way photographed from my campsite in the Wind River Range.

Fremont Looms

Here’s a photo I took while hiking into the Titcomb Basin of the Wind River Range.  There were so many lakes to see along the way, each with its own unique view of the mountains!  While passing, I always find myself pondering about how much I wish to return to camp at each lake and take in its unique beauty from sunrise to sunset. 8/20/2017

Tetons with Snake River

Here’s a bit of a tribute to my photographer hero: Ansel Adams. I took 3 exposures to form a brighter image with the morning light. The photograph involved a very precarious early morning climb down a slope with my camera/tripod which made for some good fun! – Enjoy

This photo is from a slightly different location than where Ansel shot his infamous Tetons with Snake river photo (trees now block that spot) but it’s very close.  8/27/2017

2017 Solar Eclipse

I had the opportunity to observe the total solar eclipse while hiking in the Wind River Range, Wyoming.  The sky was cloudy in the morning before the eclipse and I had hiked 14 miles up in the mountains to view it!  Luckily, the clouds parted last minute and I was able to view/photograph the eclipse.  It is truly one of my greatest memories.   8/21/2017
