Here’s a bit of a tribute to my photographer hero: Ansel Adams. I took 3 exposures to form a brighter image with the morning light. The photograph involved a very precarious early morning climb down a slope with my camera/tripod which made for some good fun! – Enjoy
This photo is from a slightly different location than where Ansel shot his infamous Tetons with Snake river photo (trees now block that spot) but it’s very close. 8/27/2017
One can expect to see many lookouts while traveling on the superior hiking trail. Here’s a springtime view of Poplar River taken on my recent 3-day trek. 5/27/2017

Shovel Point, MN – July 24th 2016. An ideal Minnesota summer view. The day started with bacon, OJ, punk rock and a 9-mile run around a soggy forest loop up in Grand Marais. After a few chilly dips in the lake, the objective was to venture down to Tettegouche for a view of that ol’ Shovel Point.
Memories of a cloud-shrouded Mt. Gould from a few summers ago. I took this photo on my way across Swiftcurrent Lake in Glacier National Park. A ferry boat took us across Swiftcurrent and another ferry at Lake Josephine which led to the Grinnell Glacier trail. Oh how convenient!
Morning in Grand Marais, MN. Great view of the Sawtooth range in the distance. See where the name comes from?
